Khedira equals Illgner as the German international with the third most appearances for Real Madrid


Sami Khedira is playing in his third season at Real Madrid and following the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Galatasaray, has now played 119 matches with the Whites, which puts him level with Illgner as the German international with the third highest number of official appearances in Real Madrid’s history. The Whites’ midfielder only has ahead of him current teammate Ozil, who has played 149, and Stielike with 308.

Since his debut with the Whites against Mallorca on 29th August 2010, Sami Khedira and has played 119 matches and has become, along with Illgner, the German international with the third highest number of appearances for the club. Only Ozil, who is one away from 150, and Stielike with 308, have made more.
